FAFCO solar heating system: enjoy your pool with free energy
A cushioned system
in less than two years
The FAFCO solar heating system is simple and efficient
An unsheltered swimming pool with a volume of 40 m3 (3 x 7 m for example) requires 1000 L of oil to heat the water to 22 ° C only from May to October. At the price of a barrel of oil, this represents high costs.
The FAFO solar heating system does not incur any energy costs to achieve the same result, because :
- The water is heated in the SOKO FAFCO solar panels by solar energy.
- The solar system works with the existing filter pump.
Advantages of the FAFCO system
Tens of thousands of installations worldwide over the past 35 years testify to the reliability of the system.
A very simple product: made of flexible plastic, light, easy to transport, lay and install, with a reduced number of connections thanks to its large size panels
95% absorption of solar rays, unlike glass panels which reflect some of the light.
Elegant and discreet aesthetics
A material that is resistant to all kinds of substances: chlorine, salts, UV. No metal parts in contact with water
Food-grade plastic, anti-scald system, unbreakable panels even in case of hail, they can be installed on the ground without any risk.
The system can be integrated into an existing system thanks to its very low pressure drop.

Technical data and performance

Direct radiation is absorbed by the tubes thanks to its rounded geometry and matt surface, which generates no cast shadows and few reflections. The thin skin of the tubes allows the water to quickly recover this energy.

Indirect radiation is absorbed in the same way thanks to a plastic formula that absorbs a large part of the light spectrum with low reemission. This property further reduces reflections, making it easier to integrate in sensitive or visible environments.

The grooved surface of the sensor allows to recover part of the reflected rays. The absorption and exchange surface is thus multiplied by this unique geometry on the market.
With low autumn sunshine (400 W/m2) the FAFCO collector remains more efficient than a glazed collector up to a temperature difference of 12°C between the ambient air and the pool water, i.e. with an outside temperature of 15°C for example, the FAFCO collector can heat pool water up to 27°C more efficiently than a glazed collector!
Calculation example
Low sunlight: 400 W/m².
Outdoor temperature: 15°C
Heating temperature: 27°C
FAFCO panel efficiency: 64%.
Surface of panels: 10 sqm
Heating power: 64% x 10 x 400 = 2560 W or 2.5 kW!
