Our solutions

With a unique product line in the field of water and thermal management, FAFCO will be able to advise you and design a customized solution for your application.

In developing its ICEBAT in the 1980s, FAFCO focused on technical buildings: hospitals, theatres, university campuses, shopping malls, telephone centres. Indeed, air conditioning is still not widespread in Europe, and the need for cold is significant only in specific tertiary buildings.

The early 1980s also saw the first cold networks develop in city centres and office districts, in order to save energy. These networks are equipped with energy storage tools to manage peak hours without oversizing their infrastructure.

The industry then quickly came to look for the qualities of cold storage to maintain its temperatures and ensure the continuity of the cold. Agri-food manufacturers are also finding a way to significantly reduce the size of their facilities and improve the safety of their cold production facilities.

Today, ICEBAT provides a turnkey solution to many real estate and industrial sectors looking to control their energy expenditure and reduce their infrastructure.

  • More and more computer servers (data centers) are using cold storage to reduce their environmental impact while providing better operational security (third).
  • Chemistry, pharmacy and agri-food use ICEBAT to improve their energy efficiency while improving the stability of their production and packaging lines.
  • The electronics industry, and more generally all industrial clean rooms, use cold storage both to ensure the continuity of their production and to manage their air conditioning and dehumidification needs in the manner as thin as possible.

ICEBAT also allows them to reduce their energy bills by reducing their subscribed power and peak-hour consumption. Larger electric consumers can even use ICEBAT to make electrical erasure and turn their storage capacity into an income-generating asset.

On congested roofs these sensors can be doubled to transform them into 8N atmosolary sensors (8 tablecloths) that require almost 2 times less surface area for the same heating power. Installed vertically for maximum efficiency during the cold season, they occupy an even 4 times smaller surface on your roof.

Stations and airports have become real shopping malls and are often coupled with business centres and office buildings that require a continuous, good quality air conditioning cold. Their modifications and extensions, as well as the changing expectations of their users in terms of thermal comfort, make the use of ICEBAT necessary for the realization of certain projects.

The increasing problems of electrical power delivery and access to cold sources (cooling towers, air-refrigerating) make the use of ICEBAT indispensable.

In this area, FAFCO's 1N, 4N and 8N atmosolary interchanges provide an ideal solution for quiet, discrete cooling in urban or aggressive environments. The quality of their plastic makes them resistant to sea air and charged atmospheres suffers or chlorine. Coupled with heat pumps and storage, they can provide a turnkey atmosolar solution to cover 100% of the hot and cold needs of your industry or building.
