FAFCO is constantly focused on customer satisfaction, in terms of products and services.
The entire company team is animated and made up of men and women who take charge of all the stages of your future project:
To size the storage of a particular project, FAFCO engineers study the need in cold hours per hour.
This determines the power of cold groups on the water loop and glycol loop and the capacity of ice storages to reduce investment and operating costs. Daily load and discharge cycles are defined according to estimated requirements, loop temperatures, and site constraints.
This sizing is carried out for several scenarios in order to cover the different seasons or regimes of operation of the site as well as the evolution of the electric tariff.
- Analysis of thermal and thermal loads
- Audit of existing facility
- Technical selection: PID and PFD, storage and cold group sizing, primary loop design, electrical needs determination
- Analysis of operating modes, control system design, – Calculating subscribed power and energy consumption
Manufacturing and assembly: factory or on-site
IceBAT can be built in a steel or concrete bin, in a factory or on site, for indoor or outdoor installation. The design is carefully studied by our engineers in order to provide our customers with a customized product, and of impeccable quality. FAFCO batteries are custom-made to provide the greatest cold capacity in the available volume in height, width and length.
Commissioning and warranty
In order to guide the user during his first use of ICEBAT, FAFCO offers on-site assistance during commissioning. FaFCO’s expertise avoids damage to equipment and allows the final adjustments to the installation to be made safely. This is the best guarantee of an unsurprising operation. FAFCO staff will provide initial or operational training during this commissioning.
Maintenance, support and technical support
FAFCO systems are based on a very simple technology, without moving parts, making maintenance requirements very low. In addition, if any problem occurs, repairs are simple to implement. But if storage is not used properly, some problems may arise. Most of the time, these are minor problems, degrading system performance, and difficult to detect by the user. That’s why FAFCO offers a maintenance contract: once a year, an FAFCO technician visits the site to check if ICEBAT requires adjustments or repairs.
At the same time, FAFCO recommends comprehensive maintenance every 7 years, which consists of replacing certain sensitive parts.
FAFCO has developed a monitoring system, ICE loop control ILC. Thanks to the ILC, our customers can view online a lot of data such as their electricity consumption, their cold production, the level of ice storage in iceBAT, the overall efficiency of the system. These data are historical and can be traced and compared. Through ILC, FAFCO helps its customers gain a better understanding of its installation and thus optimize its storage strategy. In addition, FAFCO has remote access to this data and can detect if there are any anomalies and thus avoid possible damage.
