Our products implement solutions innovative, simple, usable for temperatures between -20°C and +80°CUsing mainly recyclable polymers , our exchangers and sensors are flexible, light, very resistant to any chemical or physical attack, and easy to use.
Our systems are designed as assemblies of modular components that can be manipulated and safe for humans. City water without any additional treatment is the main component of our ice accumulators. The glycolated water (against frost) from your heat pumps and cold groups or the water from your pools are then directly used as heat-carrying fluids through our interchanges and sensors.
Our control and supervision systems are the result of 30 years of experience designing, installing and operating our facilities with our customers. They are intuitive, scalable and efficient. They were developed in collaboration with the pioneers of energy control.
Our vision is based on a few simple observations:
A large part of our energy needs are used to satisfy our thermal, hot or cold energy requirements.
Combustion processes are complex, they require very regular maintenance and significant additional consumption (pilot lights, pre-heating, regular start-ups, etc…).
The simple evacuation of excess heat or cold sometimes consumes as much energy as their production.
Heat is a co-product of cold production.
Cold and hot are often consumed on the same sites, but at different times or in different equipment.
In many applications, high-temperature systems generate waste, insecurity and discomfort.
Metallic equipment used in high pressure and/or extreme temperature systems has poor resistance to corrosion and temperature variations, yet it is often based on alloys that are difficult to recycle and whose production generates numerous nuisances.
FAFCO SA was created on 3 September 1981 through the association of two pioneers in renewable energies and energy savings: Fafco, a Californian company specialising in the manufacture of unglazed solar collectors for swimming pool heating, and Technotherm, a Swedish manufacturer of heating and air-conditioning equipment.
The combination of know-how has enabled the development of a wide range of heating and cooling solutions in the building, thanks in particular to the use of heat pumps reversible, but also many heat recovery systems in the industry, plastic heat exchangers, atmospheric sensors and other ice storage systems.
At the turn of 1986, at a time when the oil counter-shock had wiped out many energy saving initiatives, FAFCO SA chose to focus on two products: solar panels for swimming pool heating and energy storage through cold storage.
This double gamble was bold and visionary as it positioned the company in newly emerging markets. But it also responded to a need for cost rationalization and product standardization.
In 2012, FAFCO SA will make a new start to support the development of energy management services and bring all its know-how to the global market. A new period is opening up in which the most varied means of production must meet a growing need for electricity. Storage is therefore becoming a key factor in overcoming grid shortfalls. The Eren Group, a renowned investor, now accompanies the company in its current challenges.
Our design office now has 5 high-level engineers with very diverse and complementary experiences. They are involved in all stages of projects, from the feasibility study to the execution and monitoring of worksites.
Organised by geographical area, our sales managers cover our entire product range. Their mission is to develop, in each of their territories, technical and commercial relays in order to serve all markets with the greatest possible efficiency and responsiveness.
Our highly qualified operators, under the responsibility of the production manager, work on the smooth running of the plant, from the production of exchangers and solar collectors to quality control.
Our administrative department works on a wide range of skills, from sales management to the legal aspects of projects.
Our experienced fitters take care of the reception of the parts, the organization of the transport, the assembly of the installations in the workshop or on site.
A shareholder since 2012, the EREN group has been supporting Fafco in its development, industrialization and marketing strategy in France and internationally, and promotes productive synergies with the other activities within the group in the energy field. By joining forces with EREN, Fafco benefits from the EREN group’s strengthened financial capacities, experience and global reach.
About EREN: Created in 2012, EREN is the first group dedicated to natural resource saving. Through its various shareholdings and subsidiaries, the EREN group offers its customers and partners reliable, innovative and competitive solutions for saving natural resources.
EREN favours an operator model in which the group ensures the management and financing of these technologies and offers access to them to its customers in the form of a service.
EREN participates in the development of such technologies in three areas of activity: energy saving, effluent treatment, and infrastructure safety and life extension. In addition, the EREN Group develops and operates power plants for the production of electricity from renewable resources.
