ILC – ICE LOOP CONTROL is a complete control system, custom-built to control the various elements of the primary glycol loop: chillers, FAFCO accumulator, pumps, cooling towers, valves, sensors and drives.

ILC improves the energy performance of the installation and reduces operating and maintenance costs.

ILC informs about faults, equipment status and operating parameters by reporting information via its GSM communication and the Internet.

ILC also provides performance indicators, a dashboard and operating data.

System Integration

The ILC, an advanced automation system, has been designed to allow the most flexible and user-friendly use of the glycol loop.
The ILC represents a custom solution that allows you to integrate the ICEBAT into your cooling system while obtaining all the benefits that ice storage can offer.

Core of the system

The ILC is based on an API with an integrated high-resolution touch screen. The Windows 7 edition is used as the platform. It includes graphical control software with 2 web clients allowing full remote web access.

All-in-one

The ILC combines options for monitoring, managing and optimizing the operating expenses of an ice storage cooling system. We take great pride in the fact that our ILC monitors outdoor temperatures and predicts building cooling loads to make the cooling system even more efficient.

Full system control

The ILC represents the core of a cooling system. It ensures the proper operation of an ICEBAT, chillers, cooling towers, valves, sensors, variable speed drives and pumps. Each control is a dual control system. So we don’t just control the elements, we always have online feedback on their function. In the event of a malfunction, an alarm is sent as a text message via a GSM signal or a personalised e-mail containing important information about the malfunction.

Energy efficiency

We care about energy consumption, which is why we have integrated a module for measuring electricity consumption into the ILC system. If you wish to keep electricity peaks below a certain level, we can always modulate large electricity consumers, such as chillers. We are also able to increase the temperature of the cooling water on days when cooling is possible with less cold water. This approach generates extremely high savings for our consumers.

Easy to maintain

When designing the ILC, we had in mind the need to offer a solution that would allow for simple installation and even easier maintenance. That’s why we decided to use single-wire communication protocols and to unify our equipment as much as possible. This approach allows us to offer a fast and high quality after-sales service.

Remote access

The ILC allows secure 24/7 remote access through virtually any communication device such as mobile phones, tablets and telephones, laptops, PCs… It also includes an integrated audio interface allowing audio and even video communication between people on site and a remote technician. In this way, any problem can be solved quickly and efficiently without disrupting the proper functioning of the cooling system.
